The first restaurant to have quinoa on the menu?
I have just returned from my summer holidays in the UK. I went to the Center Parcs Longleat holiday village - which is a favourite of mine. I was amazed to see that one of the restaurants was offering chicken and avocado salad with quinoa.
What could I do. I had to order it just to see what I was presented with on the plate. Imagine my frustration when I was told that they had run out of avocados so it was off the menu for that week.
This was the first time I have seen quinoa on a restaurant menu so I was very annoyed not to see what other people do with it. I am very interested to know if anyone else has been served a quinoa recipe in a restaurant. Obviously living in the UK I am keen to find one here, but any mainstream restaurant serving good quinoa recipes would be news to me.
